		Books are very expensive in Finland. Foreign books because of the import and Finnish books because the Finnish market is a small one. So it might be convenient to become member of the University Library (Pict. left: Univesity Library in Helsinki. Architecture: Carl Ludvig Engel).
Sure enough, you will discover by yourself the cultural life in Finland and there is too much to describe for this page. So maybe, we just give you one tip: go to the Swedish speaking Viirus Theater and enjoy one of their creations. Program is changing but some highlights in the past were “Jesus barnet” (Dario Fo) and “Drakarna over Helsingfors” (Kjell Westö). You have to speak Swedish to enjoy it but it’s a real insider tip.
