If you
drive a car in Finland and you want to park on a place where it’s not free to
do so, you have to use a so called “Pysäköintilippu” (Parking ticket)
which you put behind your windscreen. Otherwise you’ll get a fine. Parking
tickets can be bought at all “R-Kioski” shops. |

In the Helsinki area you can rely for transportation
on HKL, the City’s
Transportations Company to bring you from point A to point B. There is a very
good net of bus lines but in the inner city it can be quicker to use the
tram. |

For long
distance travel it might be better to use the VR trains or the long distance busses of Pohjolanliikenne. Busses
are very convenient if you want to go to small places. |
